About   Me

My name is Zuzanna, and I am a counsellor based in Sydney offering "walk and talk" and online sessions.

I work with adults who are navigating complex emotional experiences and periods of change.

People often come to counselling feeling unsure, conflicted or uncertain about what they need - my role is to offer a supportive and reflective space where things can be explored safely and without judgment.

How I work

My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, grounded in respect for each person's pace, history and capacity. I don't offer quick fixes or prescriptive solutions. Instead, I focus on building a therapeutic relationship where understanding, insight and change can emerge naturally over time.

Counselling is collaborative. You are not expected to perform, explain yourself perfectly or arrive with clear goals.

Areas of experience

Alongside general counselling, my work involves supporting people with:

  • addiction recovery

  • pet loss

  • emotional regulation and life transitions

I also bring lived experience into my practice, which shapes the way I engage with complexity, ambivalence and long-held emotional pain, allowing me to work with care and depth, without assumptions or pressure to change.

What you can expect

The meaning behind the name

Iremia is a Greek word meaning serenity - a quiet steadiness that can exist even in difficult circumstances. This reflects the intention behind my practice: to support people in finding greater inner balance and clarity, even when life feels unsettled.

Getting started

If you're considering counselling and would like to explore whether working together feels right, you're welcome to get in touch or book a session.

Sessions are guided by what feels most relevant for you. Some clients come to explore long-standing patterns; others are responding to a recent event or shift. Our work may involve reflection, emotional processing and making sense of experiences that feel confusing or overwhelming.

There is no expectation to move faster than feel right. Progress is understood as something that unfolds, rather than something that is forced.
